HEALING SONGS is a thoughtful and diverse collection of 11 songs. At turns introspective, moody, sincere, and fun, there is a prevailing optimism to the lyrics that belies many of its sonic influences. Not exactly DIY, not exactly power pop, not exactly alternative rock, but clearly borrowing from the playbooks of each; the prevailing influences are R.E.M., Toad the Wet Sprocket, Bob Mould, Smithereens, and Jellyfish.
